Les Loups ont dû s’arracher vendredi soir pour dominer Rouen 3-1 et conserver un mince espoir de titre.
Caen, vainqueur dans le même temps à Pontoise 3-2, conserve en effet 2 points d’avance au classement avant de recevoir La Romagne lors de l’ultime journée de la saison.
Pour cette dernière à Jean MOULIN, le public avait répondu présent pour encourager les Loups tout au long d’une rencontre serrée, marquée par les absences des deux numéros deux, Jon PERSSON et Alex ROBINOT.
Comme à son habitude, Joao a fait le job en dominant d’entrée Adam SZUDI puis en offrant les 3 points à son équipe grâce à une victoire de prestige sur l’excellent Robert GARDOS.
Hampus, remplaçant Jon, a sans doute fait le meilleur match de sa saison même s’il a dû s’incliner 13-15 à la belle face à un Gardos particulièrement chanceux. Dommage, une perf de ce calibre aurait constitué une récompense méritée pour notre suédois tant il a fait preuve de sérieux, de professionnalisme et d’un état d’esprit irréprochable tout au long de l’année.
Bastien a quant à lui sorti les crocs pour se défaire du jeune et talentueux joueur belge Rassenfosse, remportant là une victoire déterminante grâce à un gros mental.
Les Loups doivent par conséquent gagner à Saint-Denis mardi soir, et compter sur une victoire par au moins deux points d’écart de leurs voisins en terre normande pour conserver leur titre: pas impossible, mais toutefois assez improbable.
Mais, comme chacun le sait, c’est à la fin de la foire que l’on compte les bouses !
